Printer damage protection

Using a compatible cartridge does not void your printer warranty. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a manufacturer cannot condition your warranty on using their branded supplies. That is the law, and it is worth knowing before anyone tells you otherwise.

What the law doesn’t cover is the rare case where a cartridge itself causes damage. So we cover it.

What we cover

If a cartridge you bought from us damages your printer, we pay to repair it. If the printer cannot be repaired economically, we cover a replacement of the same class of machine.

How a claim works

1. Stop using the printer and email support@tonerinkworld.com with your order number, the printer model and a description of what happened.
2. Send us the cartridge. We pay the shipping and we examine it.
3. Get the printer looked at by a repair shop of your choosing and send us the diagnosis and the quote.
4. If the cartridge caused the damage, we pay the repair invoice directly.

The honest limits

• The claim has to be for a printer listed on the product page as compatible.
• Damage from a firmware lockout is not physical damage. It is a compatibility problem, and the fix is a refund under the guarantee.
• We need the cartridge back. Without it there is nothing to examine.
